About the Item
The Naoshima armchair whispers a language of subtlety and restraint, inviting a dialogue between materiality and silence. Crafted by hand from reclaimed black cinnamon wood, it embodies an ethos where beauty resides not in spectacle, but in impermanence, in the nuanced play of shadow and light.
Inspired by the refined aesthetics of Japanese shadows, its form suggests a meditation on presence and absence, a quiet refuge where time unfurls deliberately. The grain of the wood bears the traces of history, while the leather and stainless steel accents serve as reserved punctuation, articulating form with understated elegance.
This object transcends mere function; it becomes a vessel for introspection, a spatial poem that champions subtlety over dominance. It is designed for those who seek more than style, for individuals who value the poetic dialogue between an artifact’s spirit and the cultural continuum it echoes.
Naoshima is a sanctuary for discerning collectors, a tactile whisper of impermanence, craftsmanship, and deep cultural resonance.

Dimitrih Correa
Dimitrih Correa works with his hands and soul on every piece. An artist from Rio de Janeiro, Dimitrih graduated in industrial design at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Dublin Institute of Technology. He works from the concept and design of the product until its production and finishing. His passion literally comes from his baby crib. His own, was handmade by his father, that during the 80/90’s used to collect and work with reclaimed hardwoods. When Dimitrih goes to University he is presented to the design universe and starts to develop woodworking skills, being able to make products in a responsible way for a better world. Working only with the very best and rare reclaimed hardwoods, discovered from long searches around Rio old buildings. Sometimes very damaged by time and weather but when they receive proper treatment, the beauty once forgotten, shines again, revealing truly amazing materials. From then on he already conquered many awards and national and international attention, participating in important exhibitions in NYC, Paris, Brussels, Milan, Rio and São Paulo. The Atelier is located in an old building at the Center of Rio de Janeiro.
Customers can choose from upholstery leathers and fabrics to metal and hardwood finishes.
