About the Item

Beautiful chair with arms produced in Brazil in the 1950s with a high quality wood called "peroba do campo". The authorship is unknown, but the elegance and the execution of the wooden structure recalls the works of Joaquim Tenreiro, some of them with a similar geometry to this chair, but we can’t confirm this hypothesis. In any case, the chair has extremely elegant lines and proportions, especially in the legs and arms, which have carving worthy of the best artisan wood workers. The chair is in perfect condition and ready to be used, it is in its original state which gives it value as a historical piece, the wood retains the patina that only the passage of years gives and the upholstery is with "courinho", common fabric in Brazil in the 50s.
