About the Designer:
Giuseppe Scapinelli was an Italian-Brazilian furniture designer who worked primarily in the mid-20th century. He was known for his elegant and innovative designs, which often incorporated curved lines, tapered legs, and other elements that were ahead of their time. Scapinelli's work was heavily influenced by the Art Deco and Bauhaus movements, as well as his own personal experiences as an immigrant to Brazil. He produced a wide range of furniture pieces, including chairs, tables, cabinets, and more.
His furniture was characterized by its sleek lines, minimalist aesthetic, and use of high-quality materials like exotic woods and brass. Scapinelli's designs were also notable for their attention to detail and commitment to quality, which made his pieces highly durable and long-lasting. Today, his work is highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts around the world. Scapinelli passed away in 1985 at the age of 75.

Owning a piece designed by Joaquim Tenreiro is not just about acquiring a beautiful piece of furniture; it's also about possessing a part of Brazilian design history and culture. These set is a testament to Tenreiro's futuristic vision about Modernism and it would make an excellent addition to any interior space that values and appreciates the significance of this design.
This model is called “L-shape” and is a great example of Tenreiro’s modernistic approach towards simplifying shapes, contrary to elaborate European standards, still in fashion during the fifties in Brazil. He achieves this by using rectangular shapes and no armrest...
