About the Item
As soothing as background music, Chillout explores the new design trend that recreates old classics with a modern twist. Designed by Giuseppe Viganò, this piece of furniture draws its inspiration from a laid-back living area, whilst its slinky shape harks back to the ‘50s. Sharp tailoring details and an original armrest give Chillout a balanced appeal and make for a highly comfortable seat. Slender yet inviting with a sleek retro feel, it oozes the unique allure of handmade objects. From home interiors to contract projects, this is an all-purpose purchase which will fit perfectly into any surroundings. Fully removable covers.
The designer Giuseppe Viganò is dedicated to the industrial design of furniture products and to the artistic direction of companies in the sector. He also provides graphic consulting for the production of catalogues, getting directly involved in the photography, page layout, communication and advertising pages. He designs trade fair layouts and permanent furniture shops or temporary areas for specific events and personally intervenes by indicating the choice of products and scenery design. In 2007 he started working with Saba Italia by endorsing several projects which embraced the whole company’s identity, he then became the artistic manager of the Company.
Structure: In plywood with variable-density polyurethane foam (75IP and 40IP) covered with fine velvet coupled with resin 150gr/sqm.
Feet: In 12 mm steel rod black nickel finish.
Padding: The seat cushion is made with polyurethane foam core 50IM and memory foam covered with fine velvet coupled with resin 100gr/sqm. The lumbar cushion is made in white 100% cotton fabric and padded with washed and sterilized goose down.
