About the Item

Costes armchair with tubular structure in black lacquered steel, shell in bent plywood with mahogany finish, fixed cushion padded with foam and covered in black leather. An icon of 1980s design, it remains one of Philippe Starck's most emblematic creations. Designed in the 1980s for the Café Costes in Paris, it was conceived to make the staff's work easier, with only three legs allowing for simpler cleaning and smoother circulation for waiters.
