- Condition:Replacements made: The antique handstitched needlework seat cover was likely applied in the late 19th / early 20th century. Reupholstered. Repaired: Early conservation as observed to the backs of the stiles across the lower rail / shoe. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. The frame is structurally stable and functional, and retains a very old surface with a fine old patina. The frames overall condition conservation is consistent given it s intended use over the course of 300 years.
