About the Item
A pair of English Empire Revival upholstered armchairs from the 19th century. Each of this pair of English Empire armchairs features a slightly slanted square back with straight open arms resting vertically on two straight cylindrical legs in the front. The back legs, seamlessly connected to the back, are of saber shape. The back and seat, along with the partially upholstered arms, have been recovered in a linen fabric. The ensemble is accented by the golden hue of the brass nailhead trim, the applied palmette decor on the upper rail flanked by rosette medallions, echoed on the arms. With their sleek lines and refined yet understated decor, this pair of English Empire Revival armchairs will compliment any living room, bedroom or office beautifully.
