About the Item

A deconstructed Howard and Sons style low armchair with a deep seat and shapely wide back and generous gently scrolling arms. The armchair has been fully restored and stripped back to the solid oak frame for upholstery with a refurbished coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added and complemented with a duck feather back and seat cushion. The armchair is exceptionally comfortable due to the large and deep seat, ready for reupholstery if required. English, early 20th Century.
