Iconic “Champagne” chair designed by Erwine
Estelle Laverne and produced for Formes Nouvelles in Italy, circa 1960s. The transparent molded acrylic (Lucite) shell appears to float above the elegant aluminum pedestal base, creating the light, futuristic expression that made the Laverne duo famous.
The seat cushion is upholstered in a warm velour-like fabric, adding comfort and a subtle contrast to the clear shell. A true collector’s piece that serves both as functional seating and as a sculptural statement chair for modern interiors.
