This beautiful armchair is a great representation of the quality and craftsmanship of European master cabinetmakers from the mid-20th century period.
Cabinetmaker armchairs may seem similar at first sight, however each model’s individuality becomes evident upon closer inspection. In this chair’s case, its sheer volume and the welcoming, wing-back shape stand out immediately. Wingback chairs, originating in the 17th century, have maintained their popularity throughout most design eras to this day, and their inclusion in mid-century modern design is no surprise.
