A fantastic looking and well made piece, this chair is a tour de force of craftmanship, clearly a Showframe made for exhibition, these types of furniture were made to be exhibited to show off how proficient the craftsman was
The chair has been fully restored to include having the joints checked and sealed, the timber has all been lightly French polished being sure to keep all the original charm and patina, its then been hand waxed and polished. The has been washed back, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, its in wonderful order
Any connoisseur of fine furniture will know exactly what this chair is as soon as they see it, it’s a real statement to have in one’s home and considered a piece of art in its own right. Think of it as the Rembrandt of armchairs
