About the Item
A rare late 17th century French reclining armchair with a carved walnut stretcher, upholstered in its original verdure tapestry dating back to Louis XIVth "The Sun King's" reign. It operates through a simple manual 'iron teeth' levers on e on the outside on each arm to permit reclining in a number of positions including almost horizontally. A extremely rare offering still in its original condition
