An icon of Norwegian modernism, the Falcon armchair by Sigurd Resell for Vatne Møbler is a masterclass in comfort-driven, sculptural design. This 1970s classic combines organic curves, floating form, and luxurious materials to create an instantly recognisable and highly collectable lounge chair.
The seat is suspended in a slung canvas cradle, supported by a distinctive bentwood beech frame. This particular model features an unstained beach frame, creating a light tone and feel to the design. The curved frame envelops the body, while the cognac leather cushions offer plush comfort and rich patina, adding both warmth and visual texture. This model, also slightly larger in size, features the signature armrests that were added to alternate iterations of the original design.
