A spectacular and unique find, this pair of figural carved teak Lioness chairs is front-cover-magazine-worthy and can add a bit of the unexpected to any style of room. Consider using at the ends of a long dining table, in a living room or den, next to a fireplace, in a library, or even inside a large bedroom suite. Fabricated from solid teak, these figural arm (and tail!) chairs have been carved in exquisite detail to form a representation of a leopard, lion or another predatory member of the big cat family, as it slinks around those seated, surrounding them. From the fiercely crafted face down to the slender tail, these chairs have been created in fine detail which continues down to the claws of the beast. If you're looking to soften these up a little a Mongolian sheepskin would do just the trick or another luxury fur throw or pillow. These eye-catching lounge chairs would be a great addition as part of a classic or contemporary living room, den, man (or woman!) cave, family room, entry, office or bedroom. They would also draw some attention in a corporate, retail or hospitality location such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. For corporate venues such as a hotel or restaurant, these could be the perfect lobby chairs to accept the space. *NOTE* We originally had a set of 4 of these and 2 have sold. The remaining pair are almost identical to these but due to the handmade construction, there will be subtle differences between each chair. Measurements: 37.75" H x 31.5" W x 22" D Seat height 18.25" Seat depth 19.25" Excellent vintage condition. As expected, minor signs of use commensurate with age are evident.
