About the Item

A very attractive French 18th century Louis XVI period walnut armchair, circa 1760. The low seating armchair is raised by elegant circular tapered fluted legs with finely carved block reserves above each leg and at the center of the straight frieze. Each delicately curved arm displays a fluted design and scrolled handle with an upholstered arm support. The oval shaped upholstered back support displays an elegant mottled border.
