About the Item

A fantastic and regal French Louis XV style painted fauteuil, recently reupholstered. The painted gold chair frame is carved with exquisite craftsmanship and features intricate cross hatch designs, florals, rosettes, acanthus leaves and vining. The new upholstery is a plush, deep orange velvet with gold trim held securely in place all around with well-patinated brass nailheads. Classically French in design and very comfortable. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look. Seat height is 16” and the arm height is 24".
