A French pair of carved-wood and upholstered fauteuil armchairs from the early to mid 20th century. This pair of armchairs from France have upholstered backs framed an elegantly carved and arched wooden top-rail, with softly rounded shoulders, that give a subtle winged affect, and cascade down onto arms fitted with upholstered manchette rests and terminate into volute-carved knuckles. The upholstered seats wraps down and across the front seat rail, giving a clean/streamlined appearance. The chairs are presented upon cleanly designed wood legs, with just enough of a curve to add a touch of gracefulness to them. The upholstered back, seat, and arm pads are all ready for a refresher; the perfecto opportunity to make these chairs your own. This early to mid 20th century French fauteuils will be a sophisticated pair of accent/armchairs, perfect for a living room, bedroom, or study.
