We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite original fully restored hand dyed brown leather Chesterfield library armchair from the George III era circa 1780 A fantastic looking and well made piece, the chair has been fully restored to include having the leather washed back, its then been hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished, the end result is this one of a kind cigar brown colour The chair is very rare, the rear legs are super sculptural and they have the early Georgian castors elongated castors which I love, they are so elegant Any connoisseur of fine furniture will know exactly what this chair is as soon as they see it, it is a real statement piece to have in one’s home and considered piece's of art in its own right. Think of them as the Rembrandt of armchairs! Dimensions Height:- 106.5cm Width:- 70cm Depth:- 89cm Seat height:- 54cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
