Armchair attributed to Gio Ponti for Isa Bergamo.
Elegant armchair newly reupholstered and restored with fine velvet.
Its two-tone soul gives it that extra edge to star in the room even on its own.
Refined, contrasting pastel colors rejuvenate it, making it gritty and current.
The armchair is attributed to designer Gio Ponti.
Gio Ponti was' one of the most important architects of the postwar period.
A 21' graduate of the Royal Technical High School, he had a brilliant career as a designer.
He worked with the biggest brands of Italian design: Richard Ginori, Venini, Cassina, Fontana Arte and many, many others.
In 1928 he founded Domus magazine, an editorial on architecture and furnishings.
Produced by Isa Bergamo company founded in Ponte San Pietro in the late 1940'.
