Set of two armchairs with structure in walnut wood, seat and back in padded fabric with a beautiful blue/greenish shade, designed by Giuseppe Scapinelli, Brazilian manufacturer from the 1950s.
The armchairs boast a geometric frame crafted from solid walnut, beautifully complemented by the luxurious teal velvet upholstery. They provide a comfortable and stylish seating solution.
Dimensions: 62 x 85 x 80 cm (each).
Giuseppe Scapinelli, born in 1911 in Modena, Italy, was a multifaceted artist who embraced various art forms including architecture, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and design. After obtaining his architecture diploma in 1941, he moved to Brazil in 1948, establishing an architectural firm in Sao Paulo and becoming a prominent socialite. Scapinelli's work showcased a unique style that combined modern elegance with emotional depth, particularly in his use of Brazilian Caviuna wood. He contributed significantly to modernism by promoting other designers through his gallery, Margutta, in the 1950s, leaving a lasting impact on future generations of art enthusiasts and collectors.
