The Heywood Wakefield signature arms, the beautiful orchid-themed custom upholstery and the art-deco, mid-century style design make this chair collectible and hard to resist. This is the perfect occasional seating that will work in a variety of modern or formal settings. Its sleek lines and curved features fall in the furniture group produced by the company between the 1930s and 1960s. Beyond that, this is one of the classic or retro Heywood Wakefield chairs that is seldom seen. If you appreciate the style and you miss this one, it may haunt you. The chair itself is solid and has received a bit of conservancy in the champagne tone paint and the orchidea custom silk upholstery. The wood used by H.W. is generally Northern Birch . Heywood Wakefield furniture manufacturing began in 1897.

This chair is truly unique and deserved a makeover: it got one! This has wonderful lines, and the white upholstery looks fabulous against the black frame. The construction is sturdy and the chair is quite comfrtable. It is mid 20th Century at the earliest but more likely 1980s and in the Art Deco revival style. The Art Deco revival style is reflected in the ebonized bentwood features amd is probably from the 1980s.
