About the Item
An impressive and finely detailed pair of Italian 18th century Louis XV st. Walnut armchairs. Each beautiful armchair is supported by four cabriole legs with scrolled feet and decorated with laurel vine carvings on each knee. The arbalest shaped front apron has a wonderful finely carved scalloped central reserve. Each side apron is accented with an arbalest shaped central reserve of scrolling designs and a scallop. Each arm displays a cushioned support and scrolled hand rests atop additional laurel vine carvings. The fully upholstered back supports display a curved top head rest.
