About the Item

Pair of dining chairs, fabric, lacquered wood, Italy, 1970s Italian dining chairs that have a strong resemblance to Augusto Savinis 'Pamplona' chair (1965) and Afra Tobia Scarpa's 'Pigreco' chair (1959-1960) yet this design is different in its details. Strong vertical and horizontal lines create a strong, architectural expression. The curved back- and armrest is hold by two paired legs in the back and two in front. An additional slat is adjusted in between both front legs to stabilize the construction but also to add another strong line. The black frame forms a striking contrast with the off-white upholstery. Kindly note that these items are in good, used condition and show signs of wear and use and damage. Restoration and/or reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
