About the Item
Jan Bočan ( 1937-2010) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague in 1962. At the age of 30, he won the architectural competition for the new Czechoslovak Embassy in Stockholm. This was his first major assignment. The embassy was a total work of art with all interiors, textile artwork and furniture designed by Bocan. It was designed and built between 1968-70 and opened in 1972
The model has Been specially designed for the Swedish Embassy and made by Thonet.
Walnut laminated bent wood with original wool textile.
Good condition some light scratches on the lower base as shown in photos
