About the Item

Jan Vanek easy chair in oak bentwood and canvas, Praque, the 1930s Jan Vanek's easy chair in bentwood and canvas was designed in the 1930s in Prague. Vanek, a Czech architect and contemporary of Jindrich Halabala, created this chair with an elegant oak bentwood frame and upholstered it with a canvas seat. The original bentwood frame and canvas are in excellent condition, with a fantastic patina. This armchair is perfect for any interior, including living rooms, family rooms, screening rooms, or offices. It's also a great fit for hospitality or corporate settings such as boutique hotel lobbies, cocktail bars, members clubs, or luxury boutiques. Choosing midcentury design furniture is a sustainable option as it allows you to make use of what is already available. The high-quality of midcentury furniture is evident as it has stood the test of time and can be given a second, third or even fourth life. Each piece of furniture has a unique story and history that adds character to the space it occupies. The signs of wear on these pieces offer a glimpse into the previous owner's life, making it an interesting and unique addition to any room.
