About the Item
On offer here is a beautifully crafted set of 10 armchairs made in France around the mid-20th century, circa 1950. These chairs feature solid walnut frames with turned legs and hand-carved details. They retain their original upholstery—a petrol-colored velvet adorned with brass nails. The chairs were traditionally upholstered with an inner structure of steel springs on webbing, ensuring perfect seating comfort. The upholstery shows signs of use and wear, with some spots. The walnut wood was stained a warm brown and finished with several layers of lacquer, giving it a deep, lustrous sheen.
The chairs are in good, authentic condition, and the size of the set, comprising 10 chairs, makes it unique. The chairs have been gently cleaned in our workshop. They are sturdy, clean, and ready for use.
