A architecturally shaped Arts
Crafts armchair designed by Lars Israël Wahlman, one of Sweden’s leading architects and designers of the early 20th Century. He worked in what was termed the ‘National Romantic Style’ which drew inspiration from the natural world, Nordic mythology as well as traditional Swedish furniture styles.
The chair is tall and impressive with a church spire like form to the backrest, with intricate carved and cut-out details throughout.
In original condition, newly cleaned, waxed and polished.
