About the Item

We are very pleased to offer a pair of exquisite French Louis XV Revival fauteuils, crafted in solid mahogany with delicate floral carvings and elegant cabriole legs. Their silhouettes embody the grace of late-19th-century French design, marrying refined Rococo curves with the plush proportions of the Belle Époque. The dramatic rolled arms, wrapped in deep tufting, give the chairs their signature presence and soften the ornate frame with a luxurious sculptural feel. The frames are strong, beautifully balanced, and accented with traces of original gilt, highlighting the craftsmanship of the period. The upholstery is original and recommended for re-covering due to age and visible staining. It can also be appreciated as-is for its antique character, but fresh upholstery would let the frames truly shine. Timeless and sculptural, this pair moves effortlessly between traditional and eclectic interiors. Please see all photos for details. Arm height is 26" inches.
