About the Item

Suite of two Louis XV style giltwood cabriolet armchairs, featuring a comfortable curved round backrest topped by carved ribbons, molded serpentine rails leading to open armrests supported on cabriolet legs, upholstered seat and backrest with padded red silk, the front feet on castors. This suite of armchairs were discovered in the salon of a chateau. Please note these are designer projects (in need of reupholstering) unless a vintage and distressed look is desired. Provenance: a chateau outside Clermont-Ferrand, France.
