Introducing a nearly pristine, vintage tub chair designed in the manner of the iconic tub chair designed by Finn Andersen for Selig. Original orbit casters on all legs offer practical function, movement and form. Exquisite joinery detailing on the backrest connect long, bowed architectural spanners and blade-arms that culminate the unique barrel shape. Finn Anderson was a Swedish furniture designer and long time associate for Selig Mfg Co. Anderson eventually rose to staff designer for Selig for years specializing in Danish Modern design before he was named Vice President in charge of design for the lauded company. A rare and beautifully restored pair of barrel-back lounge chairs designed by Finn Andersen for Selig, these pieces combine sculptural form with sumptuous comfort. ---Dimensions--- Width: 30.5 in / 77.47 cm Depth: 29 in / 73.66 cm Height: 28 in / 71.12 cm Seat Height: 14.5 in / 36.83 cm Arm Height: 22 in / 55.88 cm This gorgeous rolling barrel chair is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The solid walnut frame and legs show only minor surface scratches and dings (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided) but showing no stains, cracks or gouges whatsoever and the woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. The vinyl upholstery, in rare stunning original condition, shows no stains, tears or odors whatsoever. The brass castors show only minor tarnishing but all for roll easily across the floor without issue. This timeless tub chair is incredibly comfortable, structurally solid and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
