About the Item

This is a rare model of a midcentury Maison Jansen campaign armchair. These chairs are typically made with paw feet, this example is unusual in that the knob feet match the finials on top, a thoroughly modern touch, possibly a custom order. Entirely original with the original upholstery and brass and tubular steel frames. A fairly large scale chair, and very comfortable, 1950s, Paris, France. Measures: 40in H, 24 W, 28.5 D Seat height 17 in.
