About the Item

A late 19th century New York armchair in the early 18th century Dutch-Style in mahogany decorated with inlays in other woods of bows, birds, rinceau of flowers and foliage, with a solid vase-shaped splat, drop-in seat, and cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet. Marquetry decorates the entire chair, including the outside back, New York, circa late 1800s. Note: You should always request a shipping quote. Reupholstered. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Mahogany chair with inlays in satinwood other various woods Minor veneer repairs were professionally made to chair in our workshop and chair was French polished. Slip seat was upholstered in muslin which is a cotton under fabric.
