About the Item

Very rare F555 model, designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in the 60's. Executed with high quality and original green and yellow fabric from the 80's. Perhaps the design was too much ahead of its time? The F555 wasn’t that successful for Artifort back in the days, hence the short production time and the reason that there is little to no exposure for this model to date. However because of this the design has become rare. And therefore desirable among worldwide enthousiasts. The chair just oozes modernism; the amazing and original fabric from the 80's together the long thin legs produced out of nickel that hold a fully integrated top part whereby seat and backrest are connected through one large metal rod. Although it looks like one piece, it’s actually 2 pieces that are positioned very closely towards each other. Therefore, the seating comfort is simply magnificent. It is originally marked under the bottom. It is also possible to choose the color or fabric you want. We have the same chairs unrestored on stock. We work with professional upholsterers and specialists. Please ask for the options. We work with professional packers and shippers, we can deliver worldwide in 5 to 10 days.
