The Buck Leather Lounge Chair: A Masterpiece of Raw Sophistication
Originally designed by Erik Buck in 1955 for R. Skovgaard Jensen, the Buck Leather Lounge Chair is a striking fusion of rugged simplicity and Scandinavian elegance. This unique piece of furniture carves out its own design language, seamlessly blending the robust aesthetics of safari-style chairs with the refined traditions of Nordic craftsmanship.
With its clean yet distinct expression, the chair features a meticulously crafted oak frame that serves as the perfect foundation. Two thick-cut leather panels are mounted at the back, secured by three heavy-duty brass screws—deliberately left visible as an integral element of the design. The leather seat wraps gracefully around the sides, fastened with three 50mm brass buckles that echo the strength of harnesses.
Balancing sharp, structured lines with soft, inviting textures, the Buck Leather Lounge Chair embodies a harmonious interplay of contrast, making it as timeless as it is sophisticated.
