About the Item
Vintage Mid Century Modernist French Design Arm Chair set of 2 in the manner of Francis Jourdain. Made in France, 1940's / 50's period. Solid oak constructed frame with rush woven back and carved and turned details. These have custom made period leather cushions. The cushions are made in a cognac leather which is recovered from a 1960's sofa. They both come in very good condition. The wood and woven rush backs have clear signs of wear from their use and age. Each chair measures 83cm x 65cm x 60cm. Seat height measures 40cm.
