About the Item
This stunning armchair was imported from Denmark and was originally in a dull, damaged turquoise fabric that was worn with the foam crumbling at the touch. We have fully transformed this stunning mid-century lounge armchair into something incredible. Upholstered in a high-end and quality fabric known as “Marmalade” which is a tweed like fabric, that is durable and easy to clean and maintain.
This armchair is designed by the iconic Danish designer Svend Skipper, whom is known and renowned for this specific design known as “Skipper Bamse Chair” or Model 91 as it was marketed as. “Bamse” means “teddy bear” in Danish. It’s often used to describe something big, soft, and cozy—fitting for the Skipper Bamse chair, which has a plush and inviting design.
