Tubular steel cantilever chair with armrests from Thonet based on a design by Mart Stam from the 1920s. These are two rare examples in a particularly rudimentary design.
The S43 is a classic among tubular steel furniture. Simple and timeless. In these specimens the steel tube is untreated and has a wonderful patina. The connection points to the armrests are visibly different. The construction and workmanship remains legible. The armrests are made of solid wood. The condition is very good with age-related signs of wear and patina. This piece has an attribution markIt is completely authentic
