A French neoclassical pair of carved wood blue grey painted armchairs or fauteuils from the early 19th century with high end neutral new upholstery and having cameo round backs with round softly curved wooden top rail that slopes down from the shoulders to create the arms. Reeded carved front arm posts continue down making up the front legs, with stunning gold gilt adornments. arm height 25.75 #6478
