About the Item
Mid 20th c., a custom pair of Louis XVI style painted fauteuils with caned backs and upholstered seats on tapering fluted legs. The chairs are hand painted in cream with details picked out in gold. The caned back and the beige and cream silk upholstery fabric have a geometric diamond pattern. A custom shaped down seat cushion is in the same silk fabric as the chair upholstery.
These chairs are both stylish and comfortable. Given their lower seat height at 16.75" they would suit a dressing room, sumptuous bathroom, or bedroom.
