A stately pair of Louis XIV armchairs, crafted in Provence circa 1670, showcasing the refined grandeur of the French Baroque era. Made from richly patinated Circassian walnut, these chairs exude an exceptional depth of color and old-world character! Each chair features an arched backrest and gracefully carved scrolling arms, supported by turned uprights and cross stretchers. The proportions are generous and architectural, with squared legs terminating in block feet and shaped joinery that speaks to the artisan craftsmanship of the late 17th century.
