A fine pair of 18th century French walnut armchairs with chapeau de gendarme form backs, H-shaped os du mouton carved stretchers, and recent tan leather upholstery with nailwork border. Pegged construction and great overall patina, with some old repairs to the legs and stretchers, as well as expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 49.5 in H x 25.5 in W x 32 in D.
