About the Item

A pair of Louie XV style hand carved walnut chairs with 17th century wool tapestry upholstery. These are of generous proportions, very sturdy and comfortable. The tapestry fabric has been on these chairs since at least the early 20th century. Tapestry is in good useable condition but there are several old repairs and some wear. The yellow satin backs are lightly stained and one has a small tear. Considering their age and almost constant use these chairs are in excellent condition.
