About the Item

Gorgeous pair of 19th century country French provincial armchairs crafted from honey-toned fruitwood. The chairs feature a Regency style tablet back with a gracefully curved interlaced lattice back splat. The arms measure 26 inches high with softly curved supports. The generous seat has a fitted, upholstered seat cushion with a foliate motif pattern on the fabric. The fruitwood has a desirable aged patina full of character and charm with old repairs, insect damage, and weathering commensurate age and use. The chairs are sturdy with a delightful farmhouse aesthetic. Sold as a pair. From an estate in the Napa Valley, California. Could also serve as dining or hall chairs.
