About the Item

Pair of 20th Century Anglo-Indian throne like carved open armchairs. Very heavy wood with distinctively otherworldly look about them. The arms of the chair carved as actual arms holding a dagger which is the arm support. The back rest has a simple flower motive that repeats all the way around its front facing surface. The back of the seat has more detailed carving of a lion attacking a maiden. The backrest has the mask of a turbaned man with beard on either side.
