About the Item
Add a touch of refined antique French elegance to your home with this large pair of Louis XV–style armchairs, crafted in France circa 1920. Each fauteuil stands on gently curved cabriole legs ending in scrolled feet, and features a carved serpentine apron decorated with floral motifs. The arched back crest is centered with a stylized shell, and the arms are gracefully scrolled and upholstered for comfort.
Both chairs are upholstered in luxurious Scalamandré fabric featuring a tropical fruit and floral pattern in warm tones of gold, green, and red, finished with brass nailhead trim. The frames display superb craftsmanship and a lovely light walnut patina, enhancing the natural warmth of the wood.
These inviting antique fauteuils are generously proportioned and offer exceptional comfort, making them ideal for a formal living room, study, or bedroom sitting area. Excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
