About the Item
An outstanding pair of antique William IV period armchairs. They were made in England, they date from around the 1830-40’s.
They are of superb quality and are a lovely, compact size. The frames are beautifully designed, with beautiful carving on the scrolled arm rests and lovely curved back rests. They stand on finely turned legs, the wood has a gorgeous colour tone and patina all round.
We have had the frames stripped and re-polished, they have been fully re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent throughout.
