About the Item
These unique looking armchairs feature a square base made in Brazilian Hardwood (Jacaranda). They have been upholstered in black leather and the back seat has been tufted with four buttons. The structure of the backseat has an incredible design consisting of six vertical slabs connected by a brass rod.
The wood has been refinished and the upholstery is new. They are very comfortable and are in excellent condition. This particular pair of chairs was purchased from a private residence in the city of Sao Paulo.
The pair is beautifully showcased in our room next to an armchair, ottoman and sofa by Liceu de Artes e Oficios and a delicate coffee table by Fatima and the convo looks nothing less than spectacular. A set like this will not only be a great addition to a mid-century environment but will also look stellar in a modern, contemporary, eclectic environment.
Attached some publications showcasing the same model in contemporary environments. Movies Bertomeu is another example of great Brazilian Modern design from the sixties.

Introducing a pair of cozy armchairs expertly crafted by Fatima during the 1960s, boasting a sturdy structure made from Brazilian Rosewood, commonly known as Jacaranda, and elegantly upholstered in a sophisticated off white boucle. The arms and legs of these armchairs are exquisitely sculpted, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal. The deep color of the Rosewood further accentuates the shape of each armchair, while the wood itself has been skillfully refinished. Additionally, the upholstery has been recently replaced, ensuring a fresh and new look. The matching sofa, designated as lot 550, is available for purchase separately (Sofa can be seeing in images).
