A charming and sculptural three-piece rattan set composed of two “Papasan” armchairs and a matching side table, crafted by a French manufacturer in the 1960s.
This iconic mid-century design—renowned for its casual elegance and enveloping comfort—presents a beautifully woven open-grid structure, showcasing the natural flexibility and expressive curvature of rattan.
Each armchair features a large, bowl-shaped seat resting on a stable circular base formed by repeating arched rattan elements. The seat bowls tilt gently, creating an ergonomic, nest-like form.
