Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty style 1920s horseshoe back bamboo armchairs a pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty style horseshoe back armchairs from the early 20th century, with fretwork motifs and dark patina. Created in China during the first quarter of the 20th century, each of these Ming style chairs features a comfortable horseshoe back adorned on the pierced splat with traditional geometric fretwork motifs. The bamboo arms showcase contrasting lines and rest upon a rectangular wooden seat. The ensemble is raised on a straight bamboo base with side stretchers.
