About the Item

Haimi - Karu Armchair, by Dagmar The Karu chair is a contemporary update of a classic design first produced in Finland by the Haimi Oy company in the early 1950s. The inviting curved arms and subtle winged back are the epitome of the post-war Nordic aesthetic. Karu offers perfect proportions for a bedroom or living room chair. The chair legs are available in oiled oak, fumed oak, or walnut with upholstery in shearling or a wide range of fabrics. Other fabric options are also available by request. Example shown in Pierre Frey's unique 'Teddy' long-pile mohair velvet in 'Moutarde' colour with fumed oak legs. Each chair measures: Height of back 85 cm Width at arms 84 cm Total depth 90 cm Seat height 43cm.
